Upon your arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by our team. A comfortable transport will then take you to your hotel in either Arusha or Moshi. Here, you will enjoy a delightful dinner and a restful overnight stay.
In the evening, your guide will provide a comprehensive briefing on your upcoming trek and conduct an equipment check to ensure you have all the necessary mountain gear. Should you need any additional items, they can be rented at this time. Enjoy the relaxing amenities at your hotel as you prepare for the adventure ahead.

After a hearty breakfast and a detailed briefing from your guide, embark on your adventure from your hotel at 7:00 a.m. The drive will take you to the iconic Marangu Gate on the eastern side of Kilimanjaro. Here, you'll register with the national park and commence trekking at 10:30.

As you delve into the lush jungle, keep your eyes peeled for majestic Eucalyptus trees, diverse birdlife, and playful Colobus monkeys swinging from branch to branch. Be prepared for occasional rain and muddy trails, making gaiters and trekking poles invaluable companions. While shorts and t-shirts are suitable attire, ensure you have rain gear and warmer clothing within easy reach.

Halfway through your journey, pause for a delightful lunch before continuing your ascent towards the Mandara Huts, where you'll arrive around 2 or 3 p.m. Upon reaching your destination, take a moment to unpack, unwind, and savor a refreshing cup of tea or coffee. For an extra treat, embark on a short 15-minute drive to Maundi Crater, offering breathtaking vistas of Northern Tanzania and Kenya.

As the evening approaches, indulge in a delicious dinner served around 7:00 p.m. Rest assured, bathrooms with running water are readily available, ensuring your comfort throughout your stay.

Wake up to a delightful 7:30 a.m. breakfast, preparing yourself for the next leg of your Kilimanjaro adventure. Break camp at 8:30 a.m., beginning with a serene hour-long walk through lush rainforest glades. As you ascend, the trail transitions through heathland, where you might spot the striking giant lobelias and groundsels. Continue upwards into the expansive moorlands, where the landscape is dominated by resilient small shrubs. Pause halfway to savor lunch, taking in the breathtaking views of Mawenzi, a sight that energizes and inspires.

By 3:00 p.m., you'll arrive at the Horombo Huts, greeted by a stunning view of Kibo's majestic summit. Unpack and relax, soaking in the tranquil environment and fresh mountain air. As the day winds down, enjoy a hearty dinner and the comfort of running water in the camp's bathrooms. At this altitude, you may start to feel the effects of the elevation. To aid acclimatization, consider spending an extra day resting at Horombo or venturing down to a basecamp beneath Mawenzi's sub-peak. This pause not only helps your body adjust but also offers more time to explore the captivating surroundings.

This day is dedicated to acclimatization, enhancing your chances of successfully reaching the peak. It's an opportunity to gain valuable experience and become comfortable with the summit weather. You can choose to spend the day climbing to the fascinating Zebra Rocks or simply relaxing at Horombo Hut. After breakfast, embark on your journey across the Alpine desert, passing the "Last Water Point" as you approach the Saddle, a desolate plateau nestled between the peaks of Mawenzi and Kibo. The trail leads you to Kibo Hut, located at 4,703m (15,430ft), near the base of the Kibo crater.

Upon arrival, take the time to rest and prepare for your summit attempt. Enjoy dinner and an overnight stay at Kibo Hut, where you can gather your strength and acclimatize further, readying yourself for the final ascent to the peak.

Wake up at midnight to a light supper, preparing for the ultimate challenge: the summit attempt.

Embark on the demanding ascent to Uhuru Peak (5,895m/19,341ft), the highest point in Africa. The trail from Kibo Hut to Gilman's Point is steep and presents both mental and physical challenges. As you reach Gilman's Point (5,681m/18,638ft), the terrain becomes less steep but more arduous due to the altitude. Press onward to Uhuru Peak, where you'll stand atop Africa's highest summit, a moment worthy of celebration and reflection.

After reveling in your accomplishment, descend to Kibo Hut for a brief rest before continuing your journey to the Marangu Gate. Capture the memories of your triumphant ascent as you make your way back to Horombo Hut, where you can rest and reflect on the remarkable journey you've undertaken.

Embark on the final leg of your journey, traversing through the enchanting heath and moor zones towards Mandara Hut, where a warm and satisfying meal awaits you. After 5-6 hours of walking, arrive at the Kilimanjaro National Park Gate, where you can commemorate your successful climb and receive summit credentials.
