Overview
This is a ten-day safari that will take you through the famous north circuit parks, including the Serengeti (for three days), which is famous for its millions of wildebeest roaming alongside over 250000 zebras. Then go to the Ngorongoro Crater, a showcase park with stunning landscapes.
Tarangire is noted for its large elephant population, Lake Victoria, and a Kilimanjaro trip to the Materuni waterfalls. This tour allows you enough time in the parks to see wild creatures.
Itinerary
Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport, Kathmandu, you are welcomed by the team and then you will be transferred to Karibu Heritage House. A city sightseeing tour comes as part of the excursion on day 1. The city excursion will involve visiting the local markets, Maasai market, cultural heritage and Arusha city museum.
We will pick you up from your hotel at 7:30 am and after being familiar with the guide, chef and other clients, we will drive to Tarangire National Park (a 2-hour drive) famous for its diverse landscape. The park is particularly known for the abundance of ancient baobab trees and the largest concentration of elephants. It provides unique chances to observe the interaction between elephant families.
We will do a game drive through the park depending on where they are reported sightings of animals (mostly predators, lions, cheetahs, and leopards as they are harder to spot) as herbivores (giraffes, wildebeest, zebras, etc.) are plenty to see through the park.
Later on, go to the Tarangire River picnic site and enjoy the beautiful view of the river and animals while having lunch. Small monkeys and baboons will try to scare you off your lunch but there is nothing to worry about.
On this day will have a short but successful game drive, Note: time of game drive influences a success game drive, with this prime time on the Tarangire wildlife will be heading for a morning drink so we will set out early to the Tarangire river & continue with the game to later morning (10:30 – 11:00am) when most crowds are coming in.
We will leave for fig big tree lodge, where we will have lunch enjoy the pool & relax for a bit, will later go out cycling to Mto wa mbu we will drive though rice plantations, banana plantations & see the local life, we can cycle to see the great Rift valley or lake Manyara will later head back to fig big tree for overnight.
After breakfast will head to Ngorongoro as it's a transitway to Serengeti park, In Ngorongoro will stop at the viewpoint to enjoy the beautiful view and take pictures, then continue the journey to Serengeti national park. We will arrive in the afternoon enjoying our lunch and head out for an evening game drive and later camp at Seronera campsite.
In this day will go to the wider parts of the Western Serengeti which enjoys a slightly different vegetation, so after an early breakfast will go on an early game drive, we will later have lunch and continue the game drive to lake Victoria in evening to the Speke bay enjoying a sunset as then proceed for dinner & overnight stay.
Enjoy the sunrise from the lake Victoria, starting activities of fishing & canoeing enjoying this beautiful day by the lake side Lake Victoria, The largest lake in Africa and the second largest freshwater lake in the world. The region around Lake Victoria is one of the most densely populated in Africa, With several million people living on its shores. Due to its somewhat remote location, Away from the tourist hot spots, The area offers a different side of Tanzania. You will be able to experience the lives of the local people, Then proceed back to the Serengeti where the wildlife adventure continues.
Seronera, Serengeti National Park
After an early breakfast will go on an early game drive seeing a lot of animals till afternoon where will head to camp for lunch and packing doing a game drive while we exit the Serengeti heading to Simba campsite (2hrs drive) near rim of Ngorongoro crater
note; animals can be spotted on campsites.
Ngorongoro Crater, Ngorongoro Conservation Area, Arusha Region
After an early breakfast will descend the crater (6:15 am) on a journey to find the black rhino, rhinos are the hardest to spot in the beautiful crater as most animals will be easier to spot from this park due to it being a floor crater
After lunch will do game drive and ascend the crater to camp and pack for the trip to Arusha – Karibu heritage house (arriving in the evening).
Be immersed in Tanzania’s great outdoors on this full-day tour to Materuni and Kikuletwa–ideal for adventure, cultural and active travelers in the region. On this day at your preferred time we will drive you back to the airport & your final day with us.
